Before the first screw: use the guide, keep the result
Find a guide for your vehicle, check its prerequisites and keep a useful record of what actually happened.
CapCar Editorial ·

A guide is useful only when it fits the vehicle and the task. Before you buy parts or open the toolbox, confirm what you drive and which instructions apply.
Match the guide to the car
Open the checklist for your vehicle, then continue to its guides. Check the production range, engine, body style and any stated exclusions. A related model’s video may help you understand a task, but it does not establish that the same procedure applies to your car.
Read ahead before you start
Review prerequisites, tools, source material and the final checks before beginning. Use available images and video as supporting material. They do not replace applicable service instructions or qualified help where the task needs it.
Save progress to help you return to the right place. Ticking a step means you recorded progress; it is not an independent safety check. If conditions differ from the guide, stop and resolve that difference before proceeding.
Keep the actual result
After the job, record the date, mileage, work performed, parts and any unresolved symptoms. Keep receipt and photo references with the relevant record. Use the maintenance view for applicable completed maintenance, and distinguish your own work from workshop work.
Attach this preparation checklist to your vehicle. Your saved checklist links back to the article and forward to the vehicle’s guides. It stays a preparation record; it does not mark a repair as completed.
Put this into practice
Make the checklist your own, then attach it to your vehicle in CapCar.
